Female Keeshond Looking for a Forever Home - Price: Ask me in Rawlins, Wyoming

Hi, we have an about 1 ½ year old female Keeshond (pronounced "kayz-haund") looking for a new home. Avery is a wonderful, gorgeous dog and full of potential, but we just can't have her in our apartment anymore. We have tried everything to train her. My mom was recently diagnosed with Small Fiber Neuropathy and I am in school so we just can't have a dog that is not potty trained, wasn't taught any manners, and has a lot of energy. We have tried training her on puppy pads and to go outside. She is very smart and has been peeing and pooping outside, it's just she doesn't yet understand that she can ONLY go outside, not inside. She is a very fearful dog and has been abused in one of her previous homes. We do not know which one, but she is very flinchy and lies on her back to submit to you if you raise your voice. Because of this, she has proven much more difficult to potty train or train in general due to her getting scared very easily than any other dog we've ever had. She is currently being closed off in a room with a gate in front of it so she cannot roam around and find places to potty. The gate we have in front of the room she is residing in is EASY for her to jump over. She can jump with ease over a 3 ft. gate. She would be an excellent dog to do agility courses with because she can jump so high and is high energy. Avery loves everyone! She will go up to any person within her reach and try to get them to pet her. She is very, very sweet. She also loves kids and other dogs; not sure about cats as we don't own any. She has done great with my baby niece and the two dogs. Avery walks well on leash and is a delight to take for a walk. We have only heard her bark a few times, otherwise, she doesn't bark! When separated from her humans, Avery whines excessively. She does not like to be alone and is clingy to her owners because she so loving. All Avery wants to do is hang with her owners and watch and experience everything you're doing. She gets completely heartbroken when she is kept in a different room than her master(s), and when she is left home. We would be having this sweetheart with us everywhere we go if she was potty trained. She enjoys being outdoors as well as indoors and likes to ride in the car with you. If we had a backyard and/or hard floors, we would better be able to potty train Avery. With living in an apartment, she does not get outside as often as needed to teach her to potty outside. Avery would also like a backyard in order to stay happy being active. Avery is not spayed and does not have shots. She MUST be spayed and have her shots by February 28, xxxx. This deadline is because we got her from a lady, who got her from the animal shelter. The animal shelter requires her to have this vet visit. We have slowly been helping her gain weight and right now she is about 24 lbs. The ideal home for Avery: A family with children she can play with, a backyard, someone who will keep up with her training, potty training, and able to send us updates and pictures from time to time so we know how she doing. Don't inquire just because she is free. We only want serious potential adopters. You must understand this special breed and their needs.
